Hi, as I am sure some of you are aware my boxer roxy is pregnant and I have worked her out to be due on about 23rd of Feb by her first mating. She mated on 22 dec and again on 24 dec. I have booked two weeks off work, the week before and the week after but was wondering what the likelihood is that she will have them pretty much on time. I only work two days a week and have two volunteers who are more than happy to come and keep an eye on them all when I go back to work. I would be grateful for all your comments on past experiences with accuracy of due dates. Thank you

My bitch had her first litter on day 59 and the second on day 64 so it can vary quite a bit. :)

I have generally found mine whelp on average from 3 days early to a day lat, but have had them five days early and 4 days late.  Even teh same bitch wil be wildly out between litters as the one 4 days late had her first litter four days early.

My sisters dog had both of her litters late.  It depends on whether your bitch took from the first or second mating as that would make the due date a couple of days different anyway.

Mine were all basically to the very day, apart from one bitch who was a day late.

Mine have usually been a day or two late.

Mine had them a few days early- day 60 :-)

mine was to the day, but maybe that was just luck! :)

My girl had her litter on day 63 from first mating :)
She was mated twice 2 days apart.
The funny thing was when pups were born she had 8 (5 dogs,3 bitches), 4 weighed 12oz and four weighed 13oz. I wonder if 4 were conceived on first mating and 4 on the second ??????
Or does it not work like that
