Hello my girl is on day 17, has been tried daily since day 10 with the stud dog but nothing as yet . The stud is proven but this will be our girl's 1st litter. She is still very swollen and only started to "flag" for the first time yesterday. The stud is sniffing, licking but then wandering off to mark everywhere she has been :rolleyes: . I know that not every cycle is the same but would love to hear tales of other late matings.

From my last litter - 1st mating on the 18th day. I think he caught her unawares as she wouldn't stand for him again until her 21st day, just when the stud dog owner was preparing to catch a train!!!

Anyway, she had pups & the stud owner caught her train - just :D

By bitch was being mated for the first time,we wnt to the stud dog on day 10 nothing ,day 12 nothing ,day 14 nothing, day 17 she stood for him and day 19 she stood again and we had 9 pups it was very stressfull,time consuming and expensive but Iam glad we never gave up trying we had the best litter to date and we kept a pup out of it.

yes have to say I am just a little obsessed at the moment, it takes over all your thoughts, all my calls and e-mails at the moment start with, any news yet, anything happening?
Ah well the new puppy pen and whelping box will just have to wait, nothing like counting your chickens before they are hatched.

The general guide in my breed is day 11 to 13.  However, one of my bitches won't be mated until day 17 to 20.  So, each bitch is different.  Have you had a premate done?  Although I suppose it's a bit late for that now, it would show if she is post-oestrous though and therefore you could give up for this season if that was the case.
