Good day all.
I'm positively bouncing off the walls today - A few days ago I posted about wanting a Retriever pup, and explained I was having trouble finding one in the local area....
Well, my lovely friend took us over to look at some last night (quite some way away - wasn't she a star?!) and well, I fell in love. We've got one!!! We pick her up on Saturday morning, which can't come a second too soon as far as I'm concerned.
She's absolutely the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen.
Just had to share that with you all - since you were kind enough to provide some good sound advice on my last post.
Thrilled to bits.

Keep us updated with the good and bad of new pup ownership.
I'm particularly looking forward to the sleepless nights. lol.
We've also just found out that our new sofa will be here a few days before we pick her up, so we've have oooo about 24 hours of new sofa before it's trashed. Oh well - we ordered it in 'worn leather' anyway - she'll just add to it!!
Getting excited about obedience classes too - we have one quite close by that also does agility which will be new for the both of us....
Oh and lets not forget the blonde beard appearing on ALL dark clothes

And keep telling yourself "mud is the new black". ;)
how exciting - we saw our pup when she was 1 week old so had to wait 8 whole long weeks, its was awful. Shes now 5 and a half months old and a delight! Still having some broken sleep but theyre not babies for long......it will change your house forever, in a good way of course:-)

Hi
Congrats on the new pup!
I am awaiting a new arrival myself...a Golden too. I had the last one for 14 years and he was a delight.
I am VERY nervous now about having a pup again and would appreciate any tips!! One of my fears is the latest "trend" for dognapping.

If I do not calm down I will be wondering if it is the right thing to do to get a new pup but I just cannot be without any longer.
Thanks.
