Can anyone tell me where I can buy buttermilk for some recipes and what it is and if I can try and make it.

I buy buttermilk in Morrisons so assume other supermarkets will sell it.
edited to add it comes in cartons like cream and is in that part of the refigerator in the shop

Asda sells it ;) It's normally next to the cream. It's great for making Irish soda bread. Unfortunately i don't have the recipe for that, as i was taught to make it with out measurements by one of our relatives in Ireland. But if you do a search on the web im sure you might find a good recipe. :)

I have some nice muffin recipes that have this in and wanted to try some as I love cooking. Will ahve a look when I am next in Adsa.
Whoops, next to the cream, that does sound fattening!!!!!!!!!!!LOL
