my dog keeps groaning and whimpering

He eat his dinner fine, he's not limping or hurt anywhere that i can see of (i have looked all over him) But he just wont stop groaning and whimpering. He's aslo being quite fiddgety. Only thing i can see is that he has a runny nose, other than that i cant think of anything, He seemed to be fine when i checked his paws and legs. Wouldn't let me open his mouth though.

Any ideas anyone?

Could there be a bitch in season anywhere near you?

Fleas or ear mites are the first things that spring to mind.

Im all worried now, his nose is really dripping, he's panting and he went for me (which he has not done in ages )

His breathing sounds wierd. When he exhales it's noisy and wierd sounding (i know that dosen't really give you a insight but i can't think oh how to word it)

he is not having an allergic reaction is he? - just adding in a suggestion due to the wheezy exhaling sound.

if i where you i would be going to an emergancy vet just for sure.

I thought of an allergic reaction, or something stuck in his throat. I'd get him to the vets as soon as possible if he is getting worse.

Is this the dog with the megoesophagus because it could be a infection in his lungs or pneumonia so best get him to the vets ASAP

Any update on him Beth?

He quietened down a lot and went to sleep last night about 15mins after my post, Tonight he's still acting wierd and has a runny nose etc, but his breathing seems better. We are going to give it to tomorow morning and if he is still acting wierd we will take him to the vets then :-(
