I bought a german shepard puppy about 2 weeks ago and the guy said to me when i got there she is full pedigre i saw the perents but he said she come without papers if youu want papers its gonna cost £700 coz of the dna test. Now without the papers i got her for £250 10 weeks old bitch. Now i really want the papers for her but am i getting my pants pulled down? What do i do in this situation?
Anybody can you give e some advice please.

My advice; Love and enjoy. Marvel att the joy a pup brings into your life. The laughs, and all the new things in life for a puppy to discover. The softness of her puppy-fur, the quiet snoring in her sleep. Value the way she will find all your games and all your ideas great. Take every oportunity to give her praise and cuddles, love the puppy-smell of her breath when she gives you kisses. Make her growing up easy by putting away things you don't want her to chew, give her toys to carry, that belong to her. Don't leave her alone for too long, remember she'll miss you and wait for you every minute. Watch her grow, tell her what you want in a way she'll understand, when she's doing wrong, be better at explaining next time. This little wonderful pup, that in two years time will be your best friend, who will protect you with her life, love you forever, never talk bad of you or let you down.
About her papers, someone will be able to tell you later. If the papers weren't important two weeks ago, they can't be all that important now, anyway.
All the best,
Karen

Yes you are having your 'pants pulled down' as you put it.If the breeder says they were DNA testd I assume the parents were hip scored? The sire Haemo tested?£450 for the papers....I would like to bet there ARE no papers and he just wants to make sure you don't ask for them!
If you had posted this BEFORE you brought your pup I would have said walk away and find another litter...as it is just enjoy her for the pet she is and I would advise you get her insured to cover any future problems as I doubt any health tests were carried out on the parents

not sure about DNA tests but it costs £12 for the breeder to kennel club register a puppy!

The KC will DNA profile dogs for £15 !

No responsible breeder would sell a well bred GSD puppy for £250

My money is also on the fact that there are no registration documents. Unlsee the breeder shows or works his dogs I would be dubious about someone who has both parents. In GSDs trhere are lots of good stud dogs that have had all the health tests done & there is no need to keep your own stud

Enjoy your puppy, hoipefully she will be healthy &you & her have a long & happy partnership
