Is it just me or have others had problems with their bitch coming in to season late

I have been waiting for my girl to come into season knowing that she comes in every 8 months not 6 and still shes late:rolleyes:

I have everything ready and I am ready to go but it seems she is going to make me suffer and keep me waiting, LOL.

Is it just the time of year or is it Labs in general that are slow to come into season, she's 3 years old and this will be her first litter.

I also have a 11.5 month old and shes not come into season either, not that this is a problem but does suggest that maybe she's going to be every 8 months also, both are from different lines.

I'm waiting like you.  Her last 3 seasons have been 6 months and 1 week, so she should have came into season just before Christmas.  I know she's only 3 weeks late, but isn't it so frustrating.
After my girl has had her breakfast, I ask her to lie down so I can have a quick check and she now rolls over automatically!
My freinds dalmation is also a few weeks late.  I did read somewhere on here that the winter season can come later

I am waiting too although we are still 2 weeks till her season is due, it's worse when you have planned to have them mated!
I keep looking at her rear end as well.
I'm expecting her to be late because I'm waiting with a purpose if that makes sense :)

Mollys 1st season wasn't until she was 11 1/2 months old and now she seems to go every 7 1/2 months.

I am hoping mine waits a bit longer, as I want to mate her on the next season after this one, to a dog not able to come into the country until mid July.

She had her second  litter in July, and going by what she did after the first litter I would have expected her in season around Christmas.  I just hope she hangs on another week as she is suposed to be at Manchester champ show on Friday.

LOL I know what you mean about the lay down and think of England so to speak I do the same as you get her to roll over so I can check, sometimes she's very put out by this and gives me one of those looks as if to say do you mind I'm a lady, LOL.

I tell her she is just being lazy and to get her finger pulled out, her future husband as been waiting long enough lol.

I was going to have a litter with her the last time she came into season but my OH father had to have open heart surgery so not a good time, but now I am ready and she's making me wait.

It will be nice to know another Lab person will soon be in the same situation and we can compare notes, I have had a word with her and I have told her I don't want her to go mad to try and teach me a lesson for having a go and have 10 puppies LOL.

Our Pomeranian's for about the last 3 years have had really strange seasons.  Lana my SWD was 4 months late last year, but her pups were definitely worth the wait :d

I think thier all diferent, my yellow girl Ruby had her first heat at 9 months and now she's every 7 months, by black girl Obie had her first heat at 12 months and now she's every 6 months.My friends lab  had her first heat at one and a half and had her second 6 months later, but when thier late even a few weeks it seems like they will never come into heat aspecially if your waiting for it.
