Has anyone ever visited their kennels? All though I have had good reports said about it on CD has anyone ever been to there kennels to look for them selves to check them out. Do you know anyone who have left their dogs there, and has anyone ever gone back to to see if the dogs are happy. Im not an expert at looking at kennels, on the one and only occasion we left our dogs at boarding kennels, I rang my vets nurse to ask what boarding kennels did they take their dogs too, because I wanted to go somewhere that was reccomended, and she said the clinics owner takes his dogs to .......... when we dropped them off I had an uneasy feeling about the kennel owner, but I thought dont be silly if its good enough for my vet, its good enough for me.
When we collected them after 3 days, one of my dogs was VERY frightened, and the other one was aggressive, it took her several hours to relax. God knows what happened to them. The kennel owner said she's nasty, SHE'S NOT.
I have 2 cross bred dogs, one terrier cross male (we think) and one Lab cross bitch (so I was told) but I think she is more German Shepherd cross, she looks like a small G.S. to me any way.
Who are going to look after our dogs in the event of our death, we are leaving money to who ever will look after them for food and vets bills, but I want my dogs to have a good life.
We have arranged with the C.Trust to look after our dogs, but after the boarding kennels experience, Im now worried.

What should I do?

CT bought a farmhouse about 1.5 miles away from ours a few years ago & they had a purpose built sort of longhouse built. At 1st all the villagers thought it was going to be a borstal as we saw all these tv's, sofas, chairs etc being moved in:confused:  However I ride past it nearly every day & can say that the conditions look very good. its a huge long narrow building divided into about 5 seperate units, each one has a sofa & chairs & a low (3'6" ISH) WALL between each unit & some have one or two dog in each bit & some have more than that. There is a little group of bichons, about 5 of them in one unit. I estimate each unit/room to be about 16-18' by 12'. However the only thing I would say is that whenever i ride by, and its at all different times of the day, there doesnt seem to be any humans in with them & there is hell of a lot of yapping going on!!! I think it would be a bit scary for a dog that was used to being on its own with just an owner.
