oh Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! *sob!*

Im right there with you Roni!! I used to own Maine Coons and when they brought in young rats I was glad and proud of them!!

But when they brought in cute little field mice and even worse little shrews with their long noses (even tho' theyre actually quite vicious!) I was devastated!!!!!!!!

Awe Roni, if it were me i would be crying too, im really really sensitive. And if u have been feeding the poor little thing too its even worse cos u feel more attached. Arrr naughty cat!

Awww poor you i would be the same too luckly my cats heve only fetched worms back but when the hot weather comes i am dreading it

Yuk, worms!!! I wouldn't like that! Slimy yucky things, hope your cat does not eat them. I get field mice and birds, my female kills them, my show cat does not bother (too posh) but my other male will catch them unharmed, and bring them in for me to set free (he's a humane cat :-D ) I would be very upset about a robin too, they are such beautiful birds.

Awww that's such a shame.  Last year my cat found a nest of bluetits and he killed one a day until they were all gone.  Had to bring the dead one to the back door as well each day.  I think there were about 5 altogether :(

I try not to encourage birds to my garden beacause of my cats, they still manage to catch them though, usually rare ones you dont see often like gold finches :(

We did consider not putting food on the table but it is one my hubby made  for me and it is very high the cats cant reach it .I dont think he caught the robin from the table I've actually seen him catch birds in the air (Sadly)
If not in our garden it would be in another so I decided that the birds were as safe in my garden as any other as most of our neighbours have cats too.

i just enjoyed seeing the little robin each morning having a feed.

such is life.

my dog caught a shrew when we were out in the fields behind where i live. She had a whale of a time throwing it round and biting on it so it squeaked :( I did try and get it off her, but she just kept runing off. I ignored her for ages after that. Poor shrew.
