Bought one a while ago and love it (not bought any shop bread since). Anyway, we now want to try different types and fancy making Onion Bread. The recipe says to use onion granules but we've no idea what these are. I just thought you would use a real onion, thinly chopped and softened by gentle frying. Any bread experts with advice please ?!.
Thanks, Val.

Onion granules are just dried onions. When I make onion bread (I usually sprinkle parmesan on the top as it starts it's last proving!) I use finely chopped raw onion, but reduce the water by a little because there's a lot in raw onion. Enjoy!

Idiot!! Not you Bella...the TROLL Sorry...but hey, I just learnt how to add them to my ignore list!!! HA HA

i made the mistakeof not reducinng the water!!! and my cheese and onion bread was very stodgey!! but one that is fab is parmisan and sun dried tomato its in a packet that looks like a packet of flour and all you do is add water !! YUMMY!!!

I just buy the ready mixed bread mix from Sainsburys, it costs about 50p a packet and you just chuck it in the machine with some water. I've done cheese and onion, sun dried tomato, mixed grains, white bread etc etc. No hassle :)
