My partner & I have got a black & White male called Skye, who is 10 and also a red & white, Sophie who is a 2yrs. I believe you call her colour mahogany/liver. I have been informed, after going to the Border Collie Championships yesterday, at God Manchester as a spectator with my partner.

My 10yrs old boy has got Cancer, he has been diagnosed over a year and a half now and is now named,' Miracle', he is sadly riddled with it, he has Chemo every month. He is still lively, despite having collapse hoc syndrome. We all will be devastated when we loose him. Sophie has learnt everything from him since she was 7 months.

Both of my dogs are rescue dogs. I do not show my Border's, but I am looking to do Fly Ball with Sophie my red, I think she will love it.

I am looking at getting another dog/bitch Border Collie, as I know I'm not going to have much time left with my boy. I was thinking on the lines of an older dog/bitch, 1-3yrs, rather than a puppy. I was wandering if you, or any of your contacts would be able to help me in my search. I love and understand the breed and lets face it, if it is not a Border Collie it's not a dog.! I do not mind as to what colour. We are just looking for another Border Collie to be part of our warm family. We are able to provide a lovely home with lots of exercise in the country, which is 5mins away. Perhaps there may be the opportunity of homing a Border Collie that a breeder is not able to show anymore, etc.

Thank you for your time. I hope that you are able to help me. If you have any information at all please could you email me on lisa.hunt@brown.co.uk or lisaskye30@hotmail.com
Kind regards
Lisa
