:confused:Hi! I haven't used flea protection on my dog for about four months-as I didn't think winter was a breeding time for fleas!
But she has developed 2 patches on her back which resembles wet excema!
I wondered if this could be a flea allergy & should I treat her immediately with "frontline" flea treatment--or would this make skin eruptions worse? Thanks Saga

can only  reply with regards to cats!

With Central  heating etc, fleas can get a  grip all year round!.  I regularly spray cat, even in winter!

Without seeing it we can't really give a good explanation, but it could be a flea allergy. It could be a lot of things. Have you given the dog new bedding, changed your soap powder, or changed anything else? I'd take a quick trip down to the vet just to be on the safe side. At least that way you will get the best flea treatment, if that's what it is ;)
