My eldest boy dog did a long stretch yesterday and his pen*s came out and looked quite large and on either side of the pen*s there were two lumps.  They looked about the size of a small walnut.  Hubby says he has seen them before and told me to stop worrying but I am concerned.   I have not had a boy since I was a teenager so need to know is this normal.  He is weeing normally and is not ill so can someone tell me if this is the norm.

Hi, for a minute I thought you were talking about your son as the post is called 'personal problem' lol.
Yes this is normal, the pen*s swells and the 2 lumps are what keep the dog locked on to the bitch during mating. HTH :)

I have seen this when I tried to mate my unco-operative bitch and she moved at the crucial moment and the dog tied himslef, and also when a male masturbat*s.

As has been said it is the bulbis Glandis.  Occasionaly when a sheethed male becomes arounsed you can fel this through the sheeth.

I noticed this with our Imported male when he was young and I was protecting his manhood with one hand while I slicker brushed his belly, he is always pleased to see me, but that pleased

As the owner of two girls, this thread has been a real eye-opener:eek:..LOL!

Oh girls have thier:rolleyes: moments, mine are rather partial to a game of trains whenever anyone is in or coming in or out of season

I have to say the pen*s (can i say that?) is the one thing that puts me off male dogs, i can't help but scream when Tylers pinkie pops out, it totally freaks me out! a bit like my husband really:eek:

You could try Tyler in some boxers..or a Peter Stringfellow number..
- By Daisy [gb] Date 31.12.05 14:15 UTC
Or try dressing him up as a girl :D

I think he would look quite fetching in a nice pair or boxers, but a dress i may have to draw the line at:eek: he does actually get mistaken for a female quite a lot but underneath the fur he is all man :)

I always thought dogs bits filled men with envy   After all it is quite interesting equipment, it has a bone and the already mentioned bulbis glandis, and the neat way it is stored.  Not to mention the eye watering flexibility.  Rather neat bit of design

Have you ever considered a career in sex therapy, Brainless :D :D

Mounting behaviour is sometimes euphamistically called playing trains, or my favourite 'Circus Elephants'.

Thank you all for putting my mind at rest.  I was convinced he had some terrible disease and was about to die:confused:  As for girls being worse yes definately without any shadow of a doubt.  The only time I usually see his personal bits are when he is mating other than that they are kept well under cover but I will say before I had my boys I always thought they would have them out all over the place but have only seen them about twice once being yesterday.

What a funny topic! Being the owner of a male I often wondered what these two large round things at the side were too, now I know. I thought he had four testicals! Anyway, my boy has been castrated now but they still appear (the bulbis glandis thingimijigs), is that normal? Also Pepper still gets an erection? I thought that would disapper after the castration? Thankfully he doesn't 'hump' anything anymore so that urge has gone but thought the erection would go too?
- By Daisy [gb] Date 31.12.05 18:11 UTC
Perfectly normal to see them in a neutered dog :) Neutered dogs can still hump and some can even mate and tie :)

Thanks Daisy, I was beginning to wonder if the Vet had done it right:eek:

I'm sorry but the way this thread has developed means I can't resist sharing my favourite Noel Coward joke:

As two dogs fornicated madly on the seafront at Brighton, a small child asked Noel Coward what the doggies were doing. "It's a act of kindness", replied Coward. "You see the first little doggie has suddenly gone blind and his little friend is pushing him to St. Dunstans."

Coat on and now leaving the building.... ;)
