Hi
I just wonderd if anyone here uses a navigation system. if so what sort, and would they recomend it.  I am looking for a lightweight unit, that can be put into handbag luggage.  i dont want to spend the earth as it wouldnt be used enough to justify loadsa money.  it would need to be very very user friendly, im not a boff when it comes to electronic devices of any kind, getting lost is one thing but getting lost and having a nav in the car would be humiliating to say the least, so it needs to be easy.  there are a few in the shops at the moment in the sales, but i would rather spend my money on something tried and tested. i plan to use mainly in england.
Thankyou in advance for any advice you can offer me.

Hiya, I bought my husband a TomTom One for Christmas, it was on offer at £219 at PC World (via collect@store).

It has been really easy to setup and use, and works really really well, it was very much "switch on and go" and my husband managed to set it up without any help from me! ;)  It all works by touch-screen, and the unit is not too big so should fit into a handbag ok.  I understand that TomTom have a very good reputation, they have several models out at the moment, the One was released late November so is very up-to-date, and has latest maps etc.

Hope this helps :)

i have been looking at a sat nav system and the tom tom seams the most popular but i know woolworths are doing a special offer on a system the name of which i cant remember right now for £149 might be worth having a look

Hi I got a Tom Tom 300 from Halfords the other day for 249.99 with free safety camera download, not sure when this offer is ending but worth it, simple to set up, all touch screen, been using it to go everywhere!  with only one journey not knowing where the house was!  Novelty will wear off, it's small enough to go in my bag in the carry case which is included.  LOVE IT!  I'm driving to Manchester in the morning and back the next day so normally two hours to Manchester and two hours to find the hotel!  This time hopefully straight there!
