Topic Dog Boards / General / Dog Insurance

My nearly 10 yr old dog (10 in Jan) has always been healthy, only ever visiting the vets for her routine vaccinations and to be speyed. I have never thought she needed to be insured!

However, with her increasing age, she is beginning to suffer the effects of older age ie beginning to become incontinent (I have posted on this recently). Having been shock by the size of some peoples vet fees, I have been thinking of getting some insurance for her.

Now I know that most companies wont take on new policies for older dogs, usually over 8/9 yrs old, but does anyone on here know of any company who would be prepared to cover my Tara?

I know I have probably left it too late now and will have to foot any fees myself but its worth asking isn't it?!

Many thanks
Caroline

Hi

Marks and Spencer have no upper age limit for their dog insurance policy. However, as with most policies, any known pre-existing conditions generally will not be covered.
