I'm so proud of Jet, she is such a kind, gentle girl.

We recently had a wee feral kitten in our house and all three of our own cats had their noses out of joint.  Especially Bitty, who was once feral herself and would have killed him I'm sure.  We kept them apart.

Our black Lab though, is used to kittens, likes them and was making friendly overtures to the wee mite.  Eventually the wee feral kitty, named Willie, was rubbing his little body against whatever part of the Lab he could reach.  One day when I fed Jet one of her kibbles fell out of her bowl and Willie gobbled it up.  Next thing I know, my lovely, kind, gentle Lab is standing back from her food dish, looking very sad and beseeching me to help.  Willie had jumped into her bowl and was helping himself to her supper.  I had to shush him out to allow the dog to continue with her meal, LOL.  Poor dog, at the mercy of all cats.

It's funny that isn't it, how a wee little cat can be assertive over a great big dog.  I have a white fluffy cat, who will happily stroll passed my dogs up to their complete food, sit down and chomp away at it (I do feed him cat food honest) my dogs will gather around, sit down in a circle watching this interloper eat the food.  Not a word or movement is made, they will also look at me, as if to say "What's going on, do something!"   Once the cat has  had it's fill he will slowly turn, look at the dogs as if to say "Up yours!" and stroll off tail in the air. :-D

Cats definitely rule!!!
