Sorry if this is the wrong forum.   I want to start taking my bitch swimming to get her muscle tone and shape back after her recent litter.  The pups are 6 weeks old this weekend and was wondering how long to wait before I can start taking willow swimming.

hi Sarah. I have a small stream beside me that the dogs can paddle in most of the summer, but have to swim when it's winter time. Except for one nice area ;)  My bitch didn't want to stay at home with the pups after a couple of weeks so came with us. She was swimming at that point, so I would think it would be ok for your bitch to swim. So long as the water is clean and running. (You wouldn't really want her swimming in polluted water at any time, would you ;) )
