Just thought id let everybody know as it hasnt been advertised well that its Trevor Mcdonalds last night at reading news at 10.30.
I will really miss him as watched since i was a small girl.I will miss him :-(

They have had it on all day on ITV news and GMTV that Trev is going or has gone now looking at the time :)

I only saw LK today and she didnt say anything. I saw it at luchtime and thats all i saw.
They gave him nothing :-(

Terrible in my eyes - i found out today and i have the telly n in the background all the time. Im disappointed - very disappointed :-(

He didnt really say much, i had tears welling up. Like erty said to me (liberty) its the end of an era :-(

He's left a job - he hasn't died !.
I'm quite sure he has been suitably reimbursed for his efforts - unlike millions of other workers who get paid peanuts for doing pretty terrible jobs and leave at 65 with a new watch !.
I'm sure Sir Trev will be popping up on tv often, maybe he just fancies some early nights !.
They did quite a big thing about him on the lunchtime news yesterday so it wasn't completely ignored - maybe he wanted it kept quiet, he does seem rather unassuming.

Yes, i saw the lunchtime spot :-) maybe your right and he wanted to keep it quiet - apparantly hes going to be working behind th scenes now. I just wonder how old he actually is - he must be getting on a bit :-) at first i thought he'd died as at the lunchtime news it said "goodbye to Sir Trevor" certianly got my attention!

I won't miss him at all.  Very over rated imo.

Apprently he's still doing Tonight with Trevor MacDonald, it's just the news he's leaving.
