Stanley Dangerfield owned poodles, his first being a standard named Susie & wrote a book "Your Poodle & Mine", was an all round judge and Chief Steward of Crufts. He was a regular contributor to Our Dogs, who may be able to help you further.
He was well known for tv appearances in the "Good Companions" programme.
Dear Jen
Do you happen to know what his Kennel Name was when he had the poodles.
Thanks for your help.

He wrote many books on many breeds,
Prior to 1970 the award of Supreme Best In Show was decided upon by a panel of three top judges, 1970 was the first time that an individual judge was responsible for making that final decision. The late Stanley Dangerfield was that first individual Best In Show judge.
Thank you for your reply to my message.
Do you happen to know what year Stanley Dangerfield judged at Crufts so I can do some research. I am trying to find out a bit more as my husband's mum was "Dangerfield" before she married and she said before she died that one of her brothers was in the Dog world and was a judge but she didnot know any more because unfortunately, they were parted when young because their mother died so I am wondering if this Stanley Dangerfield is the gentleman in question.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know whether he had a kennel name, but the Kennel Club may be able to help you.
