I have had a medium sized dog for 5 years now.
He was a rescue dog . Literally every where we go people ask what is he or make remarks about him and although we say he's a mongrel we dont really know.
One day we were stopped 12 times at a craft fare. The old lady who looks after him when we go away says "one day someone will say thats a............."
The original rescue home had little info on him but he was brought in with his bother of the same litter.Although idid not see the brother. A vet and the guy who drove the lorry for the recue centre and a friend of a friend verified that they where identical.

I have checked many books and it does appear that he bears a brilliant resemblence to a pyrenean sheepdog.

Isthere any way i can find out?

There may be a PS breeder near to you who could offer you an opinion on your dog:
