My nearly 9 year Rottweiler cross is getting into a right grumpy old c*w!!!!!!
She is gradually getting worse. If Beano or kids go near to her when she is asleep she grumbles and barks.
She takes longer than me to get up in the morning and thats saying something!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone else find this with their older dogs????
Lea :)

Has she had a good thorough physical examination at the vets lately.  She might be getting enough stiffness of joints not to show in her movement but still requiring a bit of regular analgesia to help her see the rosy side of life again.

She had a full check up a few months ago, but yes she is stiffening up. on evening primrose oil and Arnica when it gets bad. Always has soft beds etc.
Only time she does it is when she is laying down asleep LOL

has your vet suggested synoquin? its a maintenence med for dogs with stiffness- alot of our clients find it does bring their dog more life, they keep coming back for more!

I have found NewZealand Green Lip Mussel appears to have a good effect on mild arthritis.  Not sure of the value of Arnica for stiffness always thought that was for thinning the blood, helping with the  breaking down of bruises and the like.

Sounds as if she may need some help pain wise if she's getting a bit grumpy - aches make me grumpy too ;)
