I recently posted that my saluki peg, had been really ill for 4 months (lame ,and had not responded to any treatment) after speaking to members of the saluki hound club, my vet is now looking into autoimmume disease and checking thyroid, I just want to say if I hadn't contacted them, I never would have known what to look or ask for,I haven't had blood results back yet, but I am hoping for an answer to this, turns out saluki's suffer from this disease a lot, if anyone out there has had a similar problem please post,as we are not out of the woods yet and I'm still searching for answers, many thanks.

Ashlee, there are many variations of auto-immune disease and it does seem to be the 'in-phrase' to cover a multitude of conditions. You can be looking for a needle in a haystack, so I do hope that your Vet can provide an answer and that it is good news :) Keep us posted

Thanks,I also forgot to mention, people at saluki HQ, also told me not to vaccinate,so I haven't had boosters done, they were deadly serious about this,I do understand why,but it does seem to go against the better opinion of everyone else,so all I know is these people have had saluks for over 30 years, so I take it they know what there talking about.
