hi just wanted to say thanx to everyone who has replied to my constant questions over the last few days, just want to say that after 5 pups my bitch went over 4 hours no sighns of panting or pushing so we thought she,d finished however this morning was behaving realy funny so we rushed her to the vets and she had to have an emergency c section there was3 dead puppys and 1 that was still alive mother is doing fine now but still groggy but the 1 that they saved is very wobbly and tired all the time just want to ask if it could be the anasthetic that is making her like that?big thanx again mel
i read on here once of some1 giving glucose to a weak puppy that seemed to work, you could try it.ill keep my fingers crossed the pups ok.good luck with the pups & congratulations at the same time! :)

I'm glad your bitch is ok...and sorry you lost the pups(apart from 1).Its no good saying 'if only' ....you made a decision you thought was right at the time .Good luck with you remaining puppy

Your little one that is left will always be very special to your heart. Dont dwell to much on the past you had no control over what was happening the delay may not have been the cause.
Put all your energy into the one thats left.
Good luck and best wishes

Well done for realising something was still wrong and she wasn't just upset from the birth. Hope the little one (and the other 5!) make it ok. It's this sort of story that scares me into not being sure about breeding - ah well, another year or more before I have to decide anything! :-D
