hi my bitch started her labour at 7 this morning(first pup born) then was going every 2 to 3 hours between them but has now gone 4 hours shes had a few contractions but nothing yet just wondering if theres anything i can do to speed it up or should i just calm down and be patient thanx mel

If my bitch had been in labour for 12 hours with 4 hours since the last pup I would be phoning my vet

Depends on the breed some go ages and some don't mnd got 2-5 hours between pups all normal this goes against all the books.

However I would always say in doubt get the vet...

Maybe she is finished !!!!!! no more pups

How about taking her out for a little walk, my bitch also started at 7 this morning and has just had puppy number 7. I think she has finished now.

If you take her for a walk make it on your own place as her passages are open and shed easily pick up infection.
