Am looking for 2 puppies, having recently lost an 11 year old lady: Senna.

Great home in cheshire, loads of love on offer.

Any ideas?

best regards

Any idea of breed preference, Kieran? And you're unlikely to find a reputable breeder who'd let you have two puppies at the same time - they're not double-trouble, they're trouble-squared! Best to get one and train it to the standard you're happy with before you add another one to your family. :)

I would strongly advise against purchasing 2 puppies from the same litter, unless you have the time to train them completely separately and then together. Also remember that once they are together again they will very probably ignore you and look to each other. I would recommend at least 12 months between each pup giving you time to train the first before the second arrives.

I speak from experience, I have been breeding for 20 years and would not dream of selling 2 puppies together or indeed keeping  2  from the same litter. Good breeders refuse to sell 2 together because unless you are very experienced (and even then its undesirable) the puppies end up tearaway adolecents and in some cases when the owner realises she can't cope they find themselves being rehomed already with problems. Please think very carefully before you get 2, have you had much experience with training etc?

Would you consider maybe a rescue Wiem?

There maybe two suitable dogs that need rehoming together there's some rescue contacts on this site.  Good Luck
