Topic Dog Boards / Health / Very heavy breathing

Hi, my 9 week old lab pup has very heavy breathing, especially when he lays down to sleep. I haven't rushed him to the vets as it seems to settle down after a few minutes, but then goes to loud snoring... is there a problem? It happens every night and he sleeps in my room so I hear it more on a night when its silent, even when he's awake. It may not be a huge issue but I just wanted some advice, should I just take him to the vets? He goes for his 2nd vaccine in 3 weeks, I will bring it up then if it is not urgent.
Advice appreciated

He may be overtired or it may be too warm?  If he seems bright anf happy then I doublt it is anything really serious, but overheating is not good idea.

I leave the windows on air lock for him on a night incase he is too hot but even when it's freezing he still does it. Maybe it is the over tired thing actually as it does only seem to be bad when he goes to sleep.
Thanks :)
