Oh, I feel so guilty, I know that the op had to be done because of the lumps on his testicles, which came back neg, thank god, and that he will hopefully calm down and concentrate more on his obediance work but ever since last wednesday he has been very reserved with me, he just sits and looks at me and when I go to give him a love he walks off and as hes on lead walk only at the mo until his wound has healed he his very naughty in the house but when I tell him off he his cockey as if to say well I will pay you back and he has snapped at me a few times, which he has never done before, only when we had a problem with resource guarding. I did take him to the vets and pick him up alone, does he blame me??  He still thinks their there to has he keeps trying to rub to them on peoples legs and feet, how long till the sexual bit dies down??
Has any one eles felt like this after there dog was castrated??

I've never had a dog castrated but I've had bitches spayed. Don't worry, he's not blaming you for anything - he just feels a bit ropy after surgery. Anaesthetics make you feel horrible and stitches can be sore. He doesn't think his testicles are still there - he's trying to rub a place that's sore, that's all. It'll take several months for the hormones to completely subside, so don't expect miraculous changes immediately. And lead walk him till the stitches are taken out.

Thanks for the quick reply, the vet never told us when and if we has to return for stitches removal?? Figured they would disolve but it was 8.30pm when I fetched him as they would not let him go earlier as he would not eat or wee and the vet was not there, a young nurse handed him over and I was full of Qs about the lumps and what the vet had thought they were and his micrcohip number paper work which she has forgotten to bring out, think I will ring them tomorrow!?
