Has anyone had any experience of throat problems? - symptoms are: drooling, lump in throat (about half way down) and obviously not feeling right.  It's definitely lower than tonsil level, but not causing any obvious feeding problems.

We're off to the vets tomorrow btw, but would be interested to hear from anyone with previous experiences.

hi there fiona i am sorry to hear that your dog is having problems with his or hers throat.
i have experienced throat problems with my staffordshire bull terrier she was having
abit of a problem swollowing and she to had a swelling so i took her to the vet to get her checked out
and she was sedated and the vet looked down her throat..
but sadly the swelling turned out to be a tumour in her throat..
i hope that you did not mind me replying to your question.
i hope your dog is ok and the lump in its throat was nothing to serious

all the best..francesca uk..

hi tisha sorry to hear that your dog has kennel cough my staffy had it and its not very nice for them
all i can say is that my staff had it for nearly 2 weeks and she was on antibiotics aswell..
but every dog is different some it will last longer than others..
when my staff had kennel cough i was told by my vet to give her human benylin cough medicine (for chesty coughs) to try and releave her of that awfull cough but she did not take to kindly to that but it did help abit.
but double check with your vet first before you give it to your dog as different vets have different ideas..
i hope this is of help to you and i hope that your dog gets better very soon..

all the best francesca
