Hi, I posted A question about a week ago about trying to get our puppy to go to the toilet in the same place. Suggestions were putting all her poos in one place so that she returns to them and goes there, but that hasn't worked. The other suggestion was to make a pen so that she only has access to one area, we are prepared to do this but it does mean investing in fencing, wood etc. So we are wondering if there are any other ideas out there before we resort to this, we have a big garden which our children are always running around in and so knowing roughly where the dog has 'been' would be really helpful. Thanks.
Also I have registered on this site but when I try and log on it says my computer needs to enable cookies which I have checked and it does, but having no luck.

Some dogs actually prefer to spread their scent over a wider area, so if you've got this sort of dog (possibly higher in the 'pack hierachy') then you will have an uphill battle. Most dogs won't go close to an existing poo anyway. To give youself the best chance, choose an area as far away as possible from the house, and take the dog to that area on a lead, not letting them off until they have 'been'
