Hi, I'm a newbie and would like to know if there are any places in London or roundabout where people meet, say once a week, to socialise their dogs and have a chat.
I've recently arrived in the UK and am staying in SE London but am happy to travel. Would really like to get a social life going for my dog (and myself!) who is arriving from Australia in February to help him get over the culture shock (i.e. Queensland summer to London winter!).
Thanks!
I don't think anything is organised at the moment. We are all spread over the uk, but thats not to say you coulddn't organise a meet yourself :)

Thanks Liberty for your response. I wasn't thinking of any official champdog group as such - just hoping that I might hear from someone who is part of a group of sociable dog lovers who meet in a park somewhere, say once a week or whenever. If I don't hear of any such groups, come Febuary, I might put up a notice and see if there's any interest.
What breed or breeds do you own?

Not normally somethig that happens in this country however I do kow people who live local to eachother who will take their dogs together.
The other optios is to enroll into obedience/ringcraft/agility etc clubs where you can train your dog some more, have fun, meet other people and dogs and make friends :)
Good luck

Thank you Nemesis and Ice Queen for your replies. My dog is a Lowchen. I will definitely enrol in obedience class as they're great fun (for the dogs too!).
Cheers
