Hi all,

I have an 8 month chocolate lab and would like to know when she is likely to come into season. the reason I am asking is because last night for about an hour after going to bed all she did was whine and wimper. I checked all the usualls, let her out for a wee and gave her a drink and I know she wasn't hungry.
This is really out of character for her. I was just wondering if it could be her coming into her first season (knowing not much about dogs I dont know what to look out for)?
Our just that it was freezing in our hallway last night and she was trying to tell me to turn the heating up! lol!!

Could be either really.  You could try a bit of extra bedding and make sure her bed is draught proofed.  If you use a crate you could cover the top and three sides with something if you don't already do so.

My lab came in season 1st when she was 11 1/2 months old. Now she goes 7 1/2 months between each one.

I wouold look for more frequent urination, lickign herself, and generally being a bit hormonal :D
