i have 2 young pups. puepa is an EBTxLHASA APSO and is 11 weeks old. lupin is 9 weeks old and is a collie x staffy.

i got them both when they were around 6/7 weeks old. from day one with puepa i was out and about with her everyday carrying her, showing her new experiences. sitting on park benches letting strangers come close but not touch her. and generally just let her know all was ok. she has met friends dogs and will now walk on a lead no poblems and is fairly confident of even taking the lead when walked. lupin has had the same done with her, obviously she hasnt had the lead training yet as she is still only young.

the diffrenece between the dogs charactors is really starting to show.

lupin is not at all fased by strangers, weather they come in the home or if we meet them out side. she will go to any one. and is happy to be in anyones presence.

however puepa is very wary of strangers and spends just about all her time on the look out for strange peopel and will watch them liek a hawlk as they walk past. when strange peopel come into the house she keeps her disntace and even if i sit with her she shows quite clearly that she is not comfortable with the new persons presence. she dosnt bark or growl but she dosnt look comfortable either.

also if the door goes she wants to knwo who is there and why and how and who. and has been liek this since 8 weeks.

readin gup on both breeds it does say that both the ebt and the lhasa are wary and aloof with strangers.
i was wondering if this will every change even with all the socilisation in the world. or is this a characteristic heightened by the weird cross breeding.

she has never had any bad experiences, i have never pushed her too far with meeting people. it just seems that as she is getting older she is getting to be more braver and instinctive.

any ideas?
