is it just me or does anyone else miss the ( ) bracketed bits that tell you howmany new posts there are to a question..............i can never remember how many i have read on each post and i waste so much time going into each one to see if i have missed anything?.....why did they dissapear? and can we have them back ?..PLEASE

I still see them.

I think they dissappaer when you aren't logged in, then it only shows the total number of posts on each topic :)

There are several ways of viewing the board.  If I have been reading regularly, say within the last 24 hours, I use the "unread" option this will give me all the new posts I have not read and if I am up to speed with what has been going on I don't generally have any difficulties in following what each message is referring to.  However if I haven't been on for a while there will be too many messages for this option as some will be cropped as too many to be displayed I would then look at the forum and each section to see what threads I might be interested in, as others have said, if you are logged on it will show which threads have new messages since you last logged on.

thank you all......i have just realised that my pc had to be re started yesterday so all the sites i was permenently logged into i no longer was! i just hadn't noticed..dumb or what!
