My Lab pup (nearly 11 months) has just eaten a whole packet of Halls ecualyptus cough sweets.  Do you think this could be in any way harmful?

My fault for leaving them where he could get them.  Luckily I managed to get Mars bar away from him before he could eat that as well!

Apart from having fresh breath, I'm sure your lab will be fine. My first dog was always doing stuff like that (step dad never learned to put his couch sweets out of the dog's reach) and never came to any harm. She used to unwrap them first as well!

Thanks Phoebe, I was a bit worried that there might have been ingedients that could be dangerous taken as a large quantity.  My boy doesn't have the sense to leave the wrappings though, he eats that all as well. 

Still, may be interesting 'deposits' tomorrow!
