I will get another dog in the future, but at the moment am still grieving for Tia....

Lost my GSD this year too, he was 13, it's awful isn't it?  I have 5 other dogs so can take my mind off him no longer being here, but I still forget sometimes and expect to see his face.  I cried for a week when he died, but I console myself in knowing he had a fabulous life and made us all so happy. Just focus on that.  And you are doing the right thing in not rushing out to get another dog straight away, as you would do nothing but compare it to Tia. In the future it will be nice, if you still have the time and energy for another dog!
