I have a german shepherd pup thats 5 months old. Shes my fourth one. Everytime shes gets put on the leash to go for a walk its like pulling teeth. I'll be walking at a snails pace and the dog won't keep up. I just can't remember if this is normal at that age or not. Please help I've tried everything.

Have you tried silly, happy noises and tasty treats?

My dobe boy did this for a month or two when he was about 5 months old, he used to just stop for no reason and refuse to budge, in the end I used hot dog pieces to get him going - now he won't stop for anything, the swine!!

I have always had the reverse issues with all of my puppies, including my GSD :D

does she have her head down scared , sniffing everything or just plain wont budge?

Shes not acting scared at all and not a whole lot of sniffing going on. It's not even an issue of not budging but just really slow. But only slow on the leash.

I wish! My GSD pulls for Britain. Has your pup had any bad experiences on lead?
