I have a 9month old working cocker spaniel bitch.  She started showing colour on the 23 october.  She is still in season .  Is this normal?  28 days and she is still very swollen and chomping at the bit.  I have had cockers in the past, but never one that has had a season to last so long.  Any help greatly appreciated.  Thank-you, Tina.

When you say she is still in season, do you mean she still has a discharge? If so, I would take her to the vet in case she has an infection. If she is just swollen, you have to remember she'll never return to being quite the little "discreet" size she was as a puppy.
