Well, my question certainly started a debate & I am glad to have all your info. We are spending this winter deciding which breed would suit us best & I have certainly never heard of an Irish water spaniel, but will endeavour to find out more, but think we will cross a 'spoodle' of our options.

I'm definatley not against cross breeds (I have one!), but I can defiantely see the benefits of getting a dog through a reputable breeder!

I am against paying stupid amounts of money for one and giving it a stupid name however!

also maybe a spanish water dog?

or a Portuguese Water Dog?
