i have a 6 mnth pup who has gone lame he is with 2 other pups so as they are quite rough when out playing[WHICH I HAVE STOPPED HIM DOING FOR NOW] i am wondering if thats how he,s done whatever he,s done the vet has seen him and can,t tell what it is.All i know is when he rests it her,s very stiff and lame on the leg for a few minuetes but it eases off  but he still favours it Has anyone else had this sort of problem could it be muscular Is there anything else i can do or try? i am giving as much rest as i can but he is a boistrous boy and hates being caged for mre than half hour

Hi.
Do you remember having growing pains as a child? I believe that dogs (especially fast growing breeds) get them too and of course they can't tell us! The other possibility that springs to mind is if he's had a knock he might have put something out slightly in his back - my friend has a young dog that went horribly lame and after seeing the back man was good as new and I've had amazing results with my own dogs.
Obviously I'm not recommending this instead of vets but it might be worth thinking about.
Good luck and I hope he's sound again soon.
