These are a crossbreed and you will probably get ripped off good style buying one. Pleae note that people will probably try to charge you more for a yorkie x shih-tzu than it will cost for a good example of either breed. A puppy will more than likely be from two substandard parents bought as pets, probably not even KC registered and with no health checks or guarantees. You could end up with a large vet bill with no comeback at all.

Please buy a pedigree dog of either breed from a breeder who does all the relevant health checks. Alternatively check out your local rescue centres where you will probably be able to pick up such a cross for a reasonable adoption fee and be doing something worthwhile for yourself and the dog rather than lining the pockets of people only interested in profiting from you the gullible and the poor innocent dogs.

Go to a dog rescue centre.  It will cost you between 3 and 5 times less, if not even more and it won't have a stupid name attached!
