Topic Dog Boards / Health / small worms on dog; scuffs his bottom
- By nhawlman [us] Date 16.11.05 10:55 UTC
I have a black hunting dog.
He appears to be very active and normal except;
I have seen several thin white worms about 3/4-inch long on his rump
(they look like white spaghetti)
and he scuffs his rump in the grass.

Are these 2 items related?
Are the worms a health problem?
How do I get rid of the worms?

Health and Happiness,
Nevin

Yes Nevin - they are related ;)  Go to your local vet and get him checked over.  He'll need a prescription only type of wormer - shop bought ones (in the UK at any rate) are not as strong or affective.   He may also have other problems caused by the infestation so really ought to be fully examined asap.

Goo luck, Teri :)
