We have an 11 week old puppy who is going to the toilet in the garden, but how do we get her to go in a certain place.At the moment she justs goes wherever she is. We dont put her on a lead when we go out in the garden as when we tried this she just stood their looking worried, didnt go to the loo and then had an accident when we went inside. Is the lead the only way to deal with this.?Would appreciate any help !!

Try putting a barrier around the area you want her to go in, then when you take her outside pop her in the area and just wait! And remember to give plenty of praise when she does her business. Make sure the area is not too big, but big enough for her to walk around and decide on a good spot, and keep it clean :)

when mine were pups, i would let them poo where ever they wanted then i would go out pick up the poo and put it where i wanted them to go, messy but it worked and now they go where i chose. try that for a week or so and you will see a difference.
