We are the proud owners of the most beautiful male Schnauzer ever (minature- Black /Silver) but then again we are biased, aged 3 years and are looking for a lady friend to join him. We are not breeders nor do we show so any lady that joins him would be a pet, although should any puppies come about in time then I am sure that they would be just as hansome / beautiful as they one we already have.

"should any puppies come about in time" - well, puppies will probably "come about" every 6 months or so. You should really be considering whether you want to breed, and if so why and what it entails, because the one thing for sure is if you have an entire dog and bitch you will have to separate them for 4 weeks twice a year to stop them breeding every season.

If you have a dog and a bitch the probababilty of puppis 'coming about' is VERY high!!!! A bitch will be fertile from about 6 months old and will mate hence producing pups at the age of about 8 months...this is like allowing a child to have a baby.Litters would then follow every 6-8 months if allowed.Dogs should not be just allowed to breed...they need health tests and researching first.
If you decide to buy another dog please spey or neuter one or the other.Irresponsible dog ownership is something which is far too common...please don't add yourdelf to that list
