Help, I have just taken on a rescue springer, he has had a few homes, I do not know all the circumstances and is a lovely dog and I will be keeping him forever no matter what. He has been castrated but whenver I take him for walks he runs after all dogs male, female it does not matter and he gets friendly with them all. Being a springer I do not want to lead him as he needs to run, please can anyone give any advice to break him from this cycle.  I take treats with me to try and tempt him back, but nothing is working as soon as he sees a dog he is off.
