Hi there can anyone shed any light as we cannot get our Boxer to the vet until this afternoon. She came in this morning limping so I chcked her paws and she had lost a claw after checking her others I realised she has loose claws on all her feet you can actually push the claws up we have not noticed anything other than she has had the odd lick at her feet just lately oh and she has been constipated for some reason, any help would be appreciated as we are very worried for her.

Sounds like a nail bed infection although not sure if the constipation is connected I'd think not. Best get the vet to check her although I know some people swear by Grapefruitseed Extract for nail bed infections

Hi there, thanks for your reply unfortunately it looks a little more serious than just a simple fungal infection and the vet thinks there may be a more sinister underlying cause as all nails on all feet are affected she may have an immune system problem where her body is rejecting her own nails. She is booked in to have a nail bed biopsy on Tuesday which hopefully will tell us more.

Oh h^ll :( Did think about autoimmune but no point in worrying you unnecessarily until it had been checked out. If it does turn out to be AI you might want to check out Here
