I must say this site is fantastic with really friendly / useful answers coming back. You seem a nice lot out there!  I am fostering a dog from the RSPCA (Court case goes through this week hopefully - rescued from an ill reputed pet shop - so has been institutionalsied for the 1st 6 months of his life at the RSPCA) Anyway I have been trying to research exactly what he is.  Would it be possible to have a Wheaten crossed with a Glen of Imaal Terrier do you think? As his face looks very like a Glen (seen from the internet) - but legs much longer!!!! I'm sure many crosses are common - I 'm just wondering if anyone has heard of this one - or perhaps it's just nice to keep the je ne sais quoi about him.  Many thanks. Victoria

I'd imagine it would be rather unlikely with a breed as rarely seen as the Glen of Imal. :) More likely to be a cross of more common breeds.

Sometimes you just can't tell. I had an accidental litter between a Golden Retriever and a Malinois. 5 of the pups were black and looks like Labradors, and in fact several of the owners get into heated discussions when people tell them they "must have been had" as their dog "clearly is a labrador cross". The other pups were brindle and people usually tell me they must be Greyhound crosses. :) Nobody has ever guessed right.
