i have a 2 year old bulldog named spike who has recently won first place in the Novice section in a local competition. I want to get into using him as a stud dog, he is already proven and i need to know the next step.

if anyone can help  id be grateful

if his already proven you know what to do.  But remember your dog for stud is competing with championship show winners and class winners at crufts.

I think you'll have to do much more than that in order for prospective bitch owners to want to use him.

What do you mean by "the Novice section" - I compete in Open and Champ shows and have never heard of a "Novice section".

In addition, what kind of "local competition" was this - was it an Open show, was it a companion show, was it a club match or was it something else entirely?

Novice is a class in Obedience competition (the one after Pre-Beginner and Beginner)  - was that it?

I have not heard of a bulldog winning an obedience Novice.  I wonder if the poster means a class at a Companion Show.

There are sometimes Novice classes at Open and Champ Shows.
