I currently have an 18month old female Lhasa Apso and 2 cats. She gets on really well with cats and also with my mums Shitzu. We have just had my mums dog to stay for 2 weeks while she was on holiday and they got on really well and played together all the time. We were thinking of getting another dog because she trys to play with the cats but they don't really respond! And we thought it would be nice for her to have another dog in house. She is currently left alone for about 2 - 3 hours every weekday and we thought it would be good for her to have some company as well. The trouble is that we have heard that Lhasas can be jealous if you try to introduce a new dog into the house and can become naughty or hostile toward the new dog. She is not jealous of the cats, although they were here before her, and she doesn't seem to be jealous of my mum's dog. I have tried to find some info about this from the internet but can't seem to find anything. Does anyone have any experience or info about this? We were thinking of getting another Lhasa or similar small dog. Any ideas on differnt breeds?
