I would like to breed my bitch next year only the once but on looking at some of the websites there sames to be that most of the dogs and bitches are show dogs, mine has not been a show dog she was bought as a pet.I was wondering how I go about getting information for the breeding purposes, she will be 2 years old in February she is also kennel clube registered. I look forward to hearing from you my email address is rhonawelsh@yahoo.co.uk.

First thing I would do is contact the breeder of your bitch for advice. Most breeders will put endorsements on your pedigree which stop you from registering any litters with the kc. Only the breeder can lift them. You don't say what breed she is but have you looked at doing all the health checks/hip scores that any decerning breeder would do. Are you aware of how many pups your breed generally have.
Secondly, seriously think about why you are having a litter. If it's to keep a puppy as you think your bitch is lovely then please rethink. It's not the right reasons. You would be better getting another one from the breeder who would have experience in doing this.
Not trying to be negative, just in my opinion unless a litter is bred from a bitch which is good enough quality to improve or compliment the breed then the other reasons are not justifiable.
Think about this very carefully before you bring more lives into the world.
If your not sure then go down your local rescue and look at all the unwanted dogs.
