At last we have our choc lab pup - shes beautiful.  She slept through last night (4th night with us).  It was all quiet when we woke up - i thought she was dead lol.  One problem - shes been very good at eating but now she had started to leave a lot of her food and sometimes she takes her some of it into her mouth and eats it in another room?? Is this normal?  She was very quiet after her first injection too and I thought her not eating all her food was down to that.  She had her first  injection Monday.

I find that pups are often full of confidence and very good for the first day or two in their new home. I suppose the excitement and novelty carries them through the trauma of leaving mum and siblings. Then a day or two later they can get a bit mopey and go off their food. So I wouldn't worry too much about your pup leaving food at present. She will probably get over the change shortly and start eating well again.

thats exactly what shes like - very mopey.  I think if she wasnt eating some of her meals i would think there was something wrong.  poor thing.  thanks for that jas, not as worried now:-)
